My Jung Typology Type:

ENFP: Extroversion / Intuition / Feeling / Perceiving

Often labeled the "champion" or "inspirer" personality type, ENFPs have natural people skills, hold a passion for originality and adventure, are fiercely individualistic, and strive for authenticity in all things. ENFPs live accordingly to a strong set of morals, thrive on innovation and diversity, value futuristic thinking, and are usually service oriented. Constantly seeking inspiration, they tend to pursue a variety of career and passions and seek to constantly reinvent themselves. ENFPs struggle with disorganization and perceptions of inconsistency.

Jung Typology Type Indicator:

The Meyers Briggs Type Indicator is a test based on the theories of Carl Jung used to asses an individual's personality preferences in four different categories.

  • Extroversion vs. Introversion

  • Sensing vs. Intuition

  • Feeling vs. Thinking

  • Judging vs. Perceiving

By studying my personality type, I have found it exponentially useful in understanding why I naturally perceive things in the way I do, how it differs from others, and that it is so useful to understand the differences. My personality type explains reasons and utility behind things that come naturally, are a useful tool for those that do not, and is an amazing resource for understanding yourself and others. Meyers Briggs can help you pinpoint things that do not come easily and utilize talents to overcome them and recognize small things that you might not even realize are unique to you. I would encourage anyone to explore their own personality type- but remember, it is just a starting point rather than a box!
