The Eckleburg Project:

Texas A&M University's Student-Run Literary Magazine

Throughout my Junior year at Texas A&M, I worked as a blogger for the Eckleberg Project, a literary magazine that is entirely student run. The blog currently houses over a thousand subscribers and take on topics such as local art, music, and (of course) books. The following links are some examples of my work for the blog.

Texas A&M University:

Academic Writings

Throughout my time at Texas A&M University, I have taken a number of writing intensive and literature based courses. Attached are two examples from classes that couldn't be more different, but offered a variety of challenges and rewards.

This piece was written for a class entitled The Rhetoric of Style, which was a class focused on cultivating writer's voice through a series of short papers. The challenge presented for this particular peice was the utilization of the satirical voice.

This is an academically structured critical paper focused on Animal Planet's Mockumentary, "Mermaids: Bodies Found." The class, entitled Rhetorical Criticism, focused on applying methodical criticisms to articles of culture and media.
